Picoway

Picoway is a type of laser technology used primarily in dermatology and aesthetic medicine. It's designed to address various skin concerns, including pigmentation irregularities, tattoo removal, and skin rejuvenation.

The distinguishing feature of Picoway is its utilization of picosecond laser technology. Traditional lasers operate in nanosecond pulses, while Picoway emits ultra-short picosecond pulses. This allows for more precise targeting of pigment particles or ink in the skin with minimal damage to surrounding tissue.

Picoway is often praised for its effectiveness in treating a wide range of skin types and colors. Its versatility makes it suitable for treating tattoos of different colors, pigmented lesions such as sunspots or freckles, and signs of aging like wrinkles or fine lines.

Picoway's ultra-short picosecond laser pulses can be advantageous for treating pigmentation issues in Asian skin, as they minimize the risk of unwanted side effects such as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) that can occur with longer-pulsed lasers. Additionally, Picoway's ability to target melanin with precision makes it suitable for addressing sunspots, freckles, and other pigmentation concerns commonly seen in Asian skin.

Picoway Skin Treatment

High Precision:

Because it operates at picosecond intervals, PicoWay can target ink particles or skin pigments with high precision, minimizing damage to surrounding tissues.

Effectiveness on Diverse Ink Colors and Skin Types:

The PicoWay laser is known for its ability to effectively remove a wide range of tattoo ink colors, including those that are traditionally difficult to erase, such as blues and greens. It is also suitable for use on various skin types, which makes it a versatile option for tattoo removal and pigmentation treatments.

Reduced Treatment Time:

The efficiency of the picosecond laser can reduce the number of treatment sessions needed compared to traditional laser treatments.

Less Discomfort:

Due to its fast action and minimized thermal effect, treatments with PicoWay are often reported to be less painful than treatments with older laser technologies.

Versatile Applications:

Besides tattoo removal, PicoWay is also used for a variety of other dermatological treatments, including reducing the appearance of acne scars, pigmented lesions like freckles and age spots, and skin irregularities.

Skin Revitalization:

PicoWay Resolve, a handpiece option of the PicoWay system, is designed for skin revitalization treatments. It helps with skin texture, acne scars, and signs of aging by stimulating collagen and elastin production without the downtime associated with more invasive procedures.
